⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an incredible dinner at Darjeeling Kitchen & Cafe in Astoria and I can honestly say it was some of the best food I’ve had in the neighborhood. This place is an absolute gem and makes me proud to live here. For dinner we ordered the **Johl Momo** (easily the best dish of the night), and the **Rildok**, both packed with amazing flavor. To start we had the **pakoras**, which were crispy and perfect for sharing. For drinks we went with **Darjeeling tea** and **masala chai**, and…

Stopped in for lunch today and left seriously impressed. The food and service were fantastic. Tashi (hope I got his name right) guided us through the menu, and the entire staff was attentive and friendly. I went with the rildok on Tashi’s recommendation and had zero regrets. Not usually a blue cheese person, but it melts into the broth, adding a creamy richness that balances the spice without being too strong. So good. Also, the jhol momo and butter tea are must-orders. Hands down, the best dining experience I’ve had at a restaurant. The food was incredibly authentic—every bite took me back to my visit to Darjeeling. Tharkey, our server, truly made the experience exceptional. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about our comfort and experience, always checking in at the right moments without ever being intrusive. His warmth and professionalism added so much to the evening. The aludum was the highlight for me, but every dish was thoughtfully prepared…

Darjeeling Kitchen and Cafe has dishes that are super flavorful and delicious! The Shaptak beef dish was tender and paired perfectly with the soft and pillowy tingmo. The jhol momo was definitely my favorite and perfect for a cozy day. The service was also wonderful - the waiters were kind and patient with our questions about the dishes. Its halal as well! Loved it, can't wait to come back again

This has quickly became my favorite restaurant. I've never eaten Tibetan/Himalayan food before but everything is so good. My favorites to get here are the Rildok and the Thenthuk. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Every time I come back I try something new and find a new favorite. Every one that works here is also so nice 😭Cannot recommend this place enough! Do yourself a favor and come try this place!
